Local Business Donates Services to Ronald McDonald House®

Mr. Appliance® of Pasadena recently donated services to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Baltimore. During a six hour visit to the local house, owner Scott Worden and his technician, Ben Gilmer, repaired one clothes dryer, as well as performed maintenance on six kitchen ovens. The total value of the services was over $1,000.
Mr. Appliance had previously repaired several appliances for the Ronald McDonald House, including a refrigerator, two dryers and two dishwashers. The total value of these repairs was over $800.
“Mr. Appliance of Pasadena was our Christmas miracle,” said Susan Salt, house manager for the Ronald McDonald House. ‘They mean the world to us.”
For more than 30 years, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Baltimore, Inc. has provided a home away from home for seriously ill children who are receiving medical treatment in Baltimore and their families. The House serves over 1,200 families each year.
“We are grateful for the opportunity to donate our time and resources to help the Ronald McDonald House of Baltimore and honored to be able to provide services,” said Worden.  “The work that the Ronald McDonald House Charities does is so important, and we are glad to be able to provide any help we can, so they can focus on the children and families they serve.”
Mr. Appliance plans to continue to work with the Ronald McDonald House of Baltimore, cleaning and replacing dryer vents and providing routine maintenance on major appliances.
